Clara Kumiko Ueki (a.k.a.Kumi) LMT, CLT, CAR has been providing massage and bodywork treatments for women in Manhattan since 2006.
Kumi is a graduate of the Swedish Institute, born in Portland, Oregon, raised in the US, Japan, and India. Her unique multicultural upbringing has given her an original way of seeing the human physiology and possibilities.
She specializes in post-surgical massage and manual lymph drainage, integrating Western modalities with Zen philosophy, quantum physics, and insights from consciousness studies, which explores the 'hard problem' of consciousness. She communicates with each body holistically, intuitively, and respectfully. With gifted healing hands, she promotes the body's natural healing energy and works with integrity and harmony.
Kumi studied lymph drainage at the Academy of Lymphatic Studies and has been practicing Reiki (Usui style Level 3) trained at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She is also an Aura Reading Therapist giving readings as talk therapy and spiritual coaching.
In her spare time, she enjoys dancing Argentine Tango (2007 US Salon Style - Bronze Medalist) and working out Gyrotonics. She is a survivor of 9/11. Kumi feels grateful every day to serve others by sharing her passion in the city she loves deeply.

Kumi's philosophy
― Rumi
― Kumi's version
Our bodies are self sufficient healing machine. When it slows down it happens by different kinds of blockages created in the body. My job is to find and eliminate all types of barriers (waste products, energetic and emotional barriers) from surgeries and stress.
Everything comes and goes. I eliminate old cells and welcome new cells.
Creating health by rejuvenation of the body.
